The BIOPTRON Light Therapy System is an approved medical device. The main component of the BIOPTRON Light Therapy System is an optical tube that includes a halogen light source that emits light which is similar to the part of the electromagnetic spectrum produced naturally by the sun,

but with no UV radiation.

BIOPTRON Light Therapy acts in a natural way by supporting the regenerative capacity of the whole body and therefore helps the body to release its own healing potential.

The body is composed of some 50 to 100 trillion cells, each containing our DNA and organised to perform specific functions. Every cell is capable of electrical, chemical and energy functions. Unfortunately it only takes one cell to be out of balance and we begin to have health problems.

Toxins, hormones, viruses, bacteria and pollution are constantly working against the natural balance and performance of our cells.

Linear Polarised light has the ability to penetrate up to 1" (2.5cm) through our skin.

Each of the individual colours have their own  specific energy wave speed. This enables the energy to reach deep into our body as the energy waves pass through the skin surface they also work on the cells of the blood in the capillaries just below the skin.

The primary action of the light is to increase the volume of  “T” lymphocytes in the blood stream, thereby increasing the immune system and the blood's capability to repel bacteria and rebuild damaged cell structures.

Linear Polarised light works on the cells in our blood, tissue bone and skin, and accelerates the body's own ability to repair cells that are damaged or regenerate new ones.

The Colour Therapy Set is a fantastic additive to the Bioptron Compact. Each individual program specifies step by step which colours to use, where to use them on your body and which cosmetics to apply.

The length of the various program treatments varies from 8 to 20 min's at a time and can be recommended to repeat the treatment for up to two weeks, depending on the program.

These colour therapy programs have proven to be very effective. The results can vary from person to person.

Power Supply

How long before I see or notice a difference?

Generally this will depend on the type of  problem, how long it has been there and the age of the person. However in thousands of cases the results have been almost instantaneous - especially with pain relief.
As a general indication:
Wound healing : 2-3 days
Allergies : 2-3 days
Pain : 1 minute to 1 or 2 days
Viruses : 3-4 days
Acne : varies but from 7 days to 3 weeks
Wrinkles, Scars: up to 2 months
Leg Ulcers : between 3-4 months (3 stages of healing)
Migraines : 6 minutes to half an hour
Arthritis : Pain relief in days, mobility within a week
Torn tendons/ligaments Within 7 to 14 days

How often can I use the Light?

For acute cases 2 x per day is sufficient.
For severe cases every 2-3 hours.
For chronic (long term) cases daily or 3-4 times a week.

With severe pain it is recommended that only a 2-minute treatment be given initially as the discomfort from a 'healing crisis' can be as acute as the original pain. A longer period of treatment only after the healing crisis is over. If sharp pains are felt at any time turn the light off and wait a few hours before treating again.

There are three lights and depending on your situation the Compact and possibly the Pro are used in the Home, the B2 is mainly for clinics and large animals etc.
